The Aussie offshoot of international compilation series In Trance We Trust has a new release on the horizon, mixed by UK pioneer Lange as well as Melbourne DJ Steve Strangis, and they’ll be both taking it across the country with a tour that will also see Anjunabeats tech-trancer Bart Claessen joining the fun alongside a quality selection of locals.
Lange is a DJ/producer who, somewhat incongruently, can be both credited for establishing the trance formula in the last 90s and then later on, helping smash it back down again. Some of his earlier hits included Drifting Away and Protect Your Mind, but in recent years he’s taken a decidedly more progressive approach – look at last year’s hit Out of the Sky, his massive new collaboration with Andy Moor Stadium Four or his stunning remix of Oceanlab’s I Am What I Am for an example of the current Lange sound.
Steve Strangis on the other hand is one of the Melbourne scene’s finest, supporting some of the world’s biggest talent in his city’s clubs and festivals as well as scoring a rank of 17 in last year’s Sony inthemix50. His debut single Dradis can be heard on his In Trance We Trust mix.
