If you’re after the French touch on the dancefloor this coming summer, your wish has been granted as it’s been revealed that Sebastien Leger will be in the country over the New Year period. While it’s not yet been announced where he’ll be playing, and whether or not he’ll be part of the festival brigade or instead playing in our clubs, he’ll be playing a fair spread of shows right across the country over two weekends.
Known for his fiery attitude (and as someone’s who’s far from afraid of sticking it to his fellow countrymen when he feels it’s appropriate), Sébastien Léger has covered plenty of ground in his decade-long production career. His approach has flitted between filtered house, Chicago-inspired grooves, deep techno, progressive and synthy electro. In other words, he’s a man who’s embraced house music in all its different shades and flavours, and he cuts it mighty fine as a DJ too.
For those looking forward to his return, ITM thought it was worth digging up his tirade on Ed Banger style French from last year (check it out here). “I hope it’s going to die really soon, this movement,” he sighed. “This nightmare. It’s like a disease spreading all over the world. I’m really dying from this music style – it’s terrible.”
Sebastien Leger tour dates, stay tuned to ITM for more details:
31st Dec – Sydney
1st Jan – Melbourne
2nd Jan – Adelaide
8th Jan – TBC
9th Jan -TBC
10th Jan -TBC
