With this year’s Mammoth Parklife festival shaping up to be one of the biggest yet, tickets to the travelling festival have disappeared quickly and shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane have already sold out!

As such, it’s good news for the unlucky punters who missed out on tickets that two of the Parklife’s major highlights have announced the first details of their sideshows.

First up is British electro duo La Roux, who’ve kicked up a storm of hype for both their razor-sharp, retro-gazing synth-pop and their acid tongues. La Roux will break away from the Parklife tour to hit up headlining shows in both Sydney and Melbourne supported by Australian MC Catcall with tickets on sale from Friday 21st August.

La Roux Australian Tour:

Tue 29th September @ The Gaelic, Sydney
Thu 1st October @ Prince Bandroom, Melbourne

Meanwhile, Canadian synth-rockers and Adam Freeland collaborators, Metric, have announced they’ll be touching down for a bunch of sideshows, showing off their latest hit-laced record, Fantasies.

Mon 28th September @ Capitol, Perth
Wed 30th September @ The Metro, Sydney
Fri 2nd October @ Billboard, Melbourne

The Brisbane leg of Parklife sold out first and still no La Roux side-show? The southern-centric outlook of Australia's promoters defies the economic and social reality.
