Adelaide has always enjoyed a keen house music scene, with some greats such like DJ/producer Mobin Master and vocalist Karina Chavez making an impact globally. We now get to have a play with a party that’s worked wonders in Sydney, as we’ll be getting served up Monkey Tennis style as it bounces into Adelaide!

Born out of a love for underground house music and bananas, Monkey Tennis hit the Sydney club scene in 2002 like a clumsy ninja. Starting off as a small party for friends, it then made it’s way to the legendary Candy’s Apartment, where it gradually became an institution for deep underground house. Over the last few years, centre court has played host to some of the scene’s most notable DJ/producers like The Inland Knights, Da Sunlounge, Lawnchair Generals, Bryan Jones, Fred Everything, Olivier Desmet, Jay West, The Littlemen and Raoul Belmans amongst many others, including the cream of Australia’s house talent.

Since the influx of the electro in the clubs over the last few years, Adelaide has had to survive with a lot less soul, but Monkey Tennis will be rectifying the situation with its decision to bring it’s friendly vibe to Sugar Nightclub in September. Join us for a night of craziness, quality tunes… and bananas! Dust off your Dunlops and dress up in your tennis gear to get in the mood and score some fantastic prizes.
