The Trance Nation tour marks the return of Ministry of Sound’s long hiatus in the genre, but with the sound’s gleaming representation in this year’s Sony inthemix50 awards, we think it’s safe to say that trance is well and truly back in its place at the fore of Australia’s club scene thanks to young guns such as Tydi. The Canberra leg of the tour has two Sony inthemix50 award winners on deck, teaming up for one massive party at Academy!

You voted baby-faced, 22 year old Tydi as your #1 DJ for the past two years. This Friday, Queensland’s golden boy of glowsticks is coming to the capital as Trance Nation’s headliner, hosted by fellow #1 club night Alliance. Academy will become a roaring rave for one night only, complete with local supports Fourthstate and Peekz (another winner, this time of the Pang! DJ Comp variety).
