Stanton Warriors' Good Vibrations memories

The last time UK breakbeat heavyweights the Stanton Warriors were in Australia, rocking the Laundry Tent at the Good Vibrations Festival with a ferocity matched only by Deadmau5, the duo of Mark Yardley and Dominic B decided they needed something a little special to throw into their sets. So they holed themselves up in their hotel room in Sydney prior to their first gig of the tour, and knocked together a bootleg of the Beach Boys classic Good Vibrations.

Predictable, perhaps? Well, the results speak for themselves as while it was originally intended only to serve as an introduction to their set, the results were so effective that it quickly became the biggest tune of their tour, as well as receiving loads of requests from their DJ colleagues.

The Stanton Warriors have now released a video for the tune, knocked up on a laptop by the boys themselves along with some of their own behind-the-decks camera footage from the Good Vibrations tour. Even if you think that you’re well over bootlegs, here at ITM we’re urging you to reconsider as you this one hell of a monster tune…

The Stanton Warriors will be back in November for appearances at the Harbourlife and Foreshore festivals, stay tuned for a full tour announcement and check out their Good Vibrations bootleg below…

The Good Vibrations Festival returns in 2010:

Saturday 13 February – Centennial Park, Sydney
Sunday 14 February – Claremont Showground, Perth
Saturday 20 February – Parklands Showgrounds, Gold Coast
Sunday 21 February – The Nursery, Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!

that is horrible... put a boring beat and an open saw pad ontop of some cheesey vocals and that's a hit?? guess it's not suprising, but it's still sad..

definatley good for something "knocked together" before a gig but personally i think its very overrated. it bores me to be honest, could be because im not a die hard breaks fan though.
