With less than a month before the Parklife festival kicks off in Australia, Erol Alkan and Little Boots have joined the list of artists confirmed to do sideshows when they’re in the country. Little Boots will be making a mid-tour appearance at the Oxford Art Factory, while Erol Alkan will be taking over the same venue immediately after Parklife has finished up at 10pm, making for another choice of kickon that’s destined to get real sweaty and messy.

Erol Alkan has been crowned Parklife’s ‘king of cool’. Resident DJ at the decade long electroclash clubnight Trash, he introduced the world to Soulwax and Yeah Yeah Yeah’s and revolutionized today’s genre-breaking electronic music scenes with his legendary DJing style and technical capabilities with a knack for getting the best out of his selected tracks. Check out ITM’s feature interview for a more detailed rundown.

Little Boots on the other hand stands alongside fellow Parklife act La Roux as one of the most successful female vocal talents to break through this year, crowned as Parklife’s ‘pop princess’ and touring in support of her debut alum Hands. Check out ITM’s feature interview for more info.

Little Boots hits the Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday 30th September, while Erol Alkan takes over the Oxford Art Factory on Sunday 4 October. inthemix is a proud presenting partner of Parklife in 2009! Keep your eyes peeled to our Festival Page at inthemix.com.au/parklife.
