With Parklife less than three weeks away, the local artists have been announced for the Perth show and it’s a wide ranging mix of acts, making sure that Perth is well represented amongst global heavy hitters Erol Alkan, Tiga and La Roux. Not unlike the original lineup itself, there is a bit of a general ‘live’ theme going on, with only three DJs on the list overall.
Live bands Boys Boys Boys!, Special Brew, The Transients, Voltaire Twins and Randa & The Soul Kingdom will be belting out original tunes on the day, which will range from intelligent electro-pop to bombastic soul and funk. Live producers SnowBros and Paper Chain producers Naik and Diger Rokwell will be showing off technical chops with all manner of electronic wizardry to complement sublime music programming.
The cream of Perth’s breaks scene will also be supporting with Lo-Key fu, WA’s # 1 in the Sony inthemix50 Micah as well as DJ Tone, showing why Perth is arguably the breaks capital of the world.
With MC Able filling out MCing duties for number of suspected guest slots, get ready to be blown away by a local roster eager to show they can match it with the best in the world.
Parklife hits Wellington Square in Perth on Sun 27th September. Tickets are on sale on ITM, and keep your eyes peeled to our Festival Page at inthemix.com.au/parklife
