Sydney’s most iconic party Field Day returns for its ninth round in the sunny surrounds of The Domain on January 1st 2010, and promoters Fuzzy have lifted the lid on the range of artists who will be helping us bring in the New Year in style.

For next year’s event, Fuzzy have pulled together an eclectic lineup of artists that’s well in line with the musical variety we’ve come to expect from their parties. Mash-up kings 2manydjs are at the top of the bill, supported by one of Australia’s most successful live acts The Presets, as well as the super- duo of Switch + Diplo who will be performing as Major Lazer Soundsystem.

There’s plenty of love here for lovers of indie-dance – Architecture in Helsinki, Datarock and Amanda Blank will all be making an appearance this year. Dubstep makes a serious appearance with Skream & Benga, lovers of the next-generation of electro and fidget are more than catered to with acts like Fake Blood, The Proxy and Sinden, while house and tech fans get a solid posse of DJs that includes Fred Falke, Sebastian Leger, Nic Fanciulli and more. Bring on New Years Day…

There were a couple of artists that I was a tad disappointed in for not being there, but on the bill in Melbourne, so I checked their myspace to see what dates they were doing. One of them has 'Summaknights NYE Horden Pavilion 31st Dec'. Now Im Curious.
