It all went down a little over a week ago at Brown Alley in Melbourne, where the latest The Likes of You party was taking place. There the crowd was, getting down to Audion’s spectacular audio-visual show, enjoying some deep techno, when all of a sudden a drama of epic proportions erupted.
A cloud was cast over the party when the flow on effect from a burst water main nearby hit the lower dancefloor of the club. “OMG it was gross,” says Hayley from Melbourne, who was in the club at the time. “The bottom floor dancefloor near the cloak room got flooded.” The ITM forums were similarly not amused. “To put it nicely… shitty water issues,” as one punter described it.
But the show must go on, and the Brown Alley staff worked their asses off to keep the club open. Dubfunk’s set was apparently cut short at one point, but otherwise the night continued as per normal. Here at ITM, we salute the brave hospitality staff the for their valiant efforts!
