One of the many wondrous acts making the Meredith Music Festival pilgrimage, synth-pop misfits YACHT will also play three sideshows in December. The duo – mastermind Jona Bechtolt and his offsider Claire L. Evans – is all about sunny songs, un-ironic dancing and the occasional life-affirming serenade.
See Mystery Lights, YACHT’s most recent album on the tastemakers’ label of choice DFA Records, may just be the perfect summer soundtrack. Jona and Claire have been touring like crazy for the past two years, so we can only assume their party antics are well-practiced.
