House heads in Sydney have only one place to be this New Years Eve following the announcement by the hard-working SHE crew of their NYE lineup at The Loft and Bungalow 8. In past years SHE’s New Years Eve parties have proved to be some of the hottest club tickets in town – having sold out in record time over the past two ocassions – and they’ve pulled out all the stops to wave bye bye to 2009 and start 2010 with a bang.
Headlining the open-air Bungalow 8 main stage will be none other than Kings Of Tomorrow’s Sandy Rivera. The gifted producer is behind some of clubland’s most enduring tracks, having produced classics like Another Day and Finally featuring Julie McKnight alongside more recent bumpers on his own Blackwiz imprint including Persuasion featuring Rae. He remains a hugely influential and in-demand DJ, and recently joined an illustrious list of producers including Louie Vega, Bob Sinclar and Dennis Ferrer in being asked to compile a House Masters compilation on Defected’s In The House imprint.
Upstairs in The Loft meanwhile, Minnesota-born Chuck Love will be playing his unique brand of sexy, saxy house. Returning to Australia after his national tour in January, the OM Records artist is sure to blow the up-for-it crowd away with his sets that see Chuck juggle the decks while playing live guitar, percussion, keys and even vocals. Rounding off this stellar lineup – and making her Australian debut – is British vocalist Tara McDonald, the voice behind Armand Van Helden’s My My My, Axwell’s Feel The Vibe and Strictly Rhythm’s rebirth track Get Down by the Todd Terry Allstars.
This is a lineup that is going to be hard to beat and cements SHE’s reputation as the country’s premier promoter of quality house music. With an announcement also imminent on Hush’s NYE extravaganza, ‘heads are going to have to make some tough decisions on where to see in the new year!
SHE NYE hits Bungalow 8 and The Loft on Thursday 31st December.
