A host of international and local talent has joined the 2009 Peats Ridge Festival line-up. This new injection of acts brings the tally to over 200 artists, performing across ten stages throughout the festival’s four days.
Headlining this year’s bill with a New Years Eve slot is UK trip-hop moodists Lamb, who reunited this year to play select shows. Other guests from afar include hyped Brookyln double-act Telepathe, former Tea Party man and honorary Aussie Jeff Martin, Passenger singer Mike Rosenberg doing an acoustic set and Japanese six-piece Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro.
Proven live favourites Lost Valentinos, The Barons Of Tang, Kid Sam and Tom Ugly head up a mammoth local contingent, ensuring this will be a damn fine way to see in 2010. Of course, Peats Ridge Festival is about much more than the music. As festival head Matt Grant told sibling site Fasterlouder in an a recent interview, it’s about creating an “alternate reality” in a beautiful natural setting.
