Spectacle-heavy Sydney party Freedom Festival was locked and loaded for its ‘Theme Park’ themed event in November, with a massive lineup of international trance and house acts set to take over the intriguing choice of venue that is Parramatta Stadium. But news just in has revealed the party will be shifting to a real theme park, in the form of the harbourside Luna Park.
The organisers have cited logistical challenges with Parramatta Stadium as the reason for the move, with it proving difficult to bring rides, amusements and heavy machinery onto the field. So they’ll be taking over Luna park exclusively on Saturday November 7th though with unlimited free rides for all partygoers, with the number of arenas increased from 3 to 6. And if you’ve already purchased tickets through ITM, then you’ll receive a free VIP Upgrade’ that will allow access to a special area with private bathroom and bar facilities.
Pacha resident Carl Kennedy has been added to the lineup, with an assortment of hip hop and Baltimore also apparently on the way. They’ll join an already impressive assortment of artists that includes Marco V, Rank 1, Thomas Gold, Dabruck & Klein and many more.
Freedom Festival comes to Luna Park on Saturday November 7th. Check out ITM’s Festival Page for more info, and the trailer below…
