Beware! The Undead will rise for The Annual Brisbane Zombie Walk on Sunday 25 from 3.00pm at Wickham Park, located corner of Wickham Terrace and Albert Street, Brisbane and culminating at Cathedral Park, Fortitude Valley.
The Brisbane Zombie Walk will be going that extra mile, by helping to raise funds for The Brain Foundation – an organization devoted to the research for a cure for brain diseases, neurological disorders and spinal injuries. There will be stalls for people to buy blood, gore, makeup and other zombie paraphernalia with all monies donated to The Brain Foundation, while committee members will be accompanying The Zombie Walk with charity tins for donations on the day. The Brisbane Zombie Walk has laid its own claim to fame reaching an unofficial record in the Guinness Book of Records with over 1500 participants in 2008, and inspiring others around the world to beat the record. August 8 2009 in the UK last saw over 4,000 Zombies at the Chill Festival.
The Brisbane Zombie Walk After Party will be held at Birdee Num Nums from 5.00pm with an entry of a gold coin donation, featuring a slew of Brisbane talent, including DJ Radaza, Mouthguard, Aydos, Tim Plunkett, Jeremy Illiev, Jordan Naumov, Tim Dart and Boomstar Loco. Door and food sales and monies collected from the after party will all be donated to The Brain Foundation
