Perth breakbeat institution Breakfest has taken out the award for “Best Value for Money” festival at the Australian Festival Awards. Breakfest was the only WA festival to take away top honours in any of the categories, with East coast festivals Golden Plains and Splendour in the Grass proving favourites among voters.

Now in its ninth year, the multi-award winning festival and its spiritual home at Belvoir Amphitheatre have proven their staying power with this award being added to the many PDMAs and other honors already hanging on the Boomtick office walls.

This year’s event is set to be no different with a fresh lineup of artists, none of whom have ever played at Breakfest before. Leading the charge are N-Funk wildboys NAPT who are abley supported by a cast of the finest breaks producers and DJs from around the globe.
