You thought the run of summer announcements were drying up, didn’t you? Well think again, there’s still plenty coming up, and the latest bash to throw their proverbial hat into the ring is Cargo Bar, lining up some top notch local talent to help bring in 2010 on the water.

Topping off a pretty incredible year-and-a-bit, Modular golden girl Ladyhawke will headline Cargo Bar’s NYE bash with what the press release dubs a live DJ set. Either the Kiwi indie-popper has been doing dead DJ sets up until now or she’ll be incorporating some greater performance elements into this show, we’re not sure, but regardless, any Ladyhawke is good Ladyhawke.

Bringing some fireworks of his own to the NYE lineup is none other than electro problem child Muscles, who’s been absent from the live arena for the bulk of 2009 following his spectacular implosion on the eve of Nevereverland ’08. Who knows what kind of insanity Muscles’ live return will bring, but we reckon it’ll be worth the price of admission alone!

Rounding out the exclusive party at Cargo Bar’s beloved waterfront pad are a host of other local lights including a full-strength Bang Gang crew as well Beni, Anna Lunoe, Graz and Cargo regulars Adam Bozzetto, Trent Rackus and Super C.
