James Lavelle. LTJ Bukem. Jamie Lidell. Bertie Blackman. The organisers of Playground Weekender* are still keeping tightlipped on the full lineup of artists for the 2010 event, but to tide us over to the full announce next Friday November 13th they’ve revealed several names who will indeed be in the country in February for the four-day event, joining Prins Thomas and The Brian Jonestown Massacre who were announced last week.

Mr Lavelle is somebody who needs no introduction. As the leader of the UNKLE outfit which has been extraordinarily prolific over the past few years, he’s just as well known as a DJ and this year he delivered another entry into the esteemed Global Underground series. LTJ Bukem is even more of a dance music stalwart, with the drum n’ bass veteran, delivering his installment into the FabricLive series this year and it’ll be the second time he’s appeared at the festival.

Add nu-soul crooner Jamie Lidell and local songstress Bertie Blackman, and things are looking mighty fine so far for when Playground Weekender returns to Wisemans Ferry in February. The organisers say the ink is still drying on a couple of artists for the official lineup announcement next Friday, but they promise it’ll be worth the wait.

Playground Weekender takes over Del Rio Resort at Wisemans Ferry, NSW, from 18 to 21 February 2010. Tickets on sale now, stay tuned for more details!
