Drum n’ bass fans had plenty to say about In Silico, the divisive second album from local floor-smashers Pendulum, with many suggesting the band had lost touch with their dnb roots for a more accessible sound. Hell, nearly everyone seemed to have an opinion it, even us here ITM HQ, when we included it on our controversy-baiting Jump The Shark list.

It was clear earlier this year that the band shared similar feelings, saying they ‘struggled’ to get over the ‘second album syndrome’, revealing they’d be going back to their more conventional electronic sound for their next album. That was enough to get fans excited for what the band would come up with, and it looks like the Pendulum boys are at last ready to lift the lid on the fruits of their labours, announcing a new DJ tour designed to give fans a teaser taste of what’s ahead.

Kicking off this December, Pendulum’s founding trio of Rob Swire, Paul Harding and Gareth McGrillen will trek all across Australia, previewing their new material, as well just generally doing damage to dance floors.

The DJ tour kicks off at Melbourne’s Brown Alley, before moving onto previously announced dates at Harbour Party NYE at Sydney’s Luna Park and BBQ Beats up in Queensland. Check out the full dates below to get yourself a preview of the band’s next record, and see the video further down the page for a reminder of the Pendulum live experience.

why cant they bring the whole band? they did for BDO this year, so come-on. having the full show there would guarentee to sell ALOT more tix then just a DJ set.

wilsonrob is right, the live show fucking sucks balls. What's the point of playing drum and bass when you can't hear the BASS!!
