In sad news for Queensland punters who were planning on getting down to the Ten Pound Crew’s annual bash on New Years Day, it’s been announced that BBQ Beats won’t be returning in 2010, with “unforeseen circumstances” cited as the reason for the party not going ahead as planned.

“With striving to create a boutique, unique event for Brisbane audiences, there are several risks associated in relation to coordinating BBQ Beats. These risks are now not within a manageable scope for the event,” it was said in a statement. “Some alternative shows for artists will be organized for fans who wish to still see some of the performers who were scheduled to play.”

The Ten Pound Crew say that all ticket holders will receive a full refund. If tickets were purchased online or via telephone then the cost will be returned to the credit card account, otherwise contact the point of purchase or email info@tenpoundcrew.com if there are any problems encountered.

This year’s event was set to feature performances from an eclectic selection of DJs and live acts that included Pendulum, Roots Manuva, Amp Fiddler, Claude Von Stroke and more.
