One of the dance scene’s most enduring superstar DJs has arrived in Australia for a tour that will see him playing several intimate shows, and last night he kicked it off with a show in Brisbane at The Met. Wanna get a taste of what went down before you check him out this weekend? Photos are live now on ITM.

Sasha – The Met, Brisbane.

Something that has really got the dance music nerds talking is that for last night’s shows, Sasha eschewed his typical Abelton enabled laptop, in favour of a USB drive – in favour of two Pioneer CDJ2000s. And from all reports, it went off with a bang. Featuring a characteristic slow build that we’ve come to know him for over the years, he ramped it into some power progressive in the last hour that left The Met shaking, and the crowd jumping around like crazed madmen.

Catch Sasha this weekend:

Fri Nov 20th – Billboards, Melbourne
Sat Nov 21st – Chinese Laundry, Sydney

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!

xpander wasn't needed, did anyone even pay attention to the set... it was unbelievable! the met held it together pretty well too.

Xpander was donkeys ago, can you imagine how tedious it would get having to play it every night for ten years?
