Were you one of the 30,000 at Stereosonic’s first 2009 tour date in Sydney? Are you heading along to any of the remaining shows on the national tour? Check out the first gallery of photos to see what went down!

The gods were certainly smiling on Sydney, with fine weather giving the hordes of excited dance fans every reason to smile. Highlights included Axwell’s early afternoon set on the mainstage, the Bloody Beetroots causing mayhem inside (and out!) the Outrage arena, and Deadmau5’s epic closing set with a specially made Australian flag mau5 head.

inthemix was on the ground at the event reporting live through Facebook and Twitter, so check out the feeds to see what went down throughout the day. To see the full Sydney photo gallery, just click the link below!

Is it just me or was Stereosonic a huge disappointment, The fuzz shut down the royal hall so NO ONE could get in to see the Bloody Beetroots, and Fedde Le Lame was exactly that, Lame, he teased all set and didn't deliver

Yeah i have to agree with shaneclark. The organisation of the beetroots was absolutely shithouse massive disappointment because they were the reason i went to stereosonic. The fact that theHordern hasn't recognised this just adds insult to injury being th

stereosonic was ok.. except for the large amount of sweaty shirtless angry pushy men. I couldnt believe it! Deadmau5 was fantastic and so was Emoh is Dead (or whatever he's called) in the Showbag room. It was a bit commercial for me - cranky wasted people

No, I agree Shaneclark, I expected more. In my opinion, it was poorly organised, and what happened with the Bloody Beetroots was just an example of this.

started the day off with ajax - as always - an underrated dj who delivers an epic set ! followed with axwell who was good, playing the euro commercial electro house that the crowd loved :) then we went to see drop the lime, the dj before bloody beetroots

tobifukushima it is the promoter who decides which stage and what time the DJs go on - not the Hordern. It's One Love's fault that they didn't foresee how huge the Beetroots are.

DEADMAU5 WAS RUBBISH!!!!!! why does everyone think he was good??? i saw at least a quarter of the crowd in the main arena leave about halfway through his set, me included.... Fedde and Dahlback were awesome tho.... Axwell was reasonable, but was much bett

Ahh i am so fuckin over people saying how shit Stereosonic was! It was a freakin amazing day, the crowd and atmosphere was excellent, so wat if you didnt get to see Beetroots, they wont even a headliner for the festival. It also wasnt the organizers plan

beetroots were ok, dont think their the best djs but....all they do is play bangers and get the drug fucked crowd jumping around and going crazy..Drop the lime was good but I dunno about the 70s tracks bit dodgy imo...Deadmau5 was a huge let down too but

I have to agree that the festival was a big let down. The music was mostly fantastic, but a good crowd makes a good festival. There was no-one enforcing the "shirts on policy". They had the bloody betroots playing in the hall of industries which IMO was a
