The prize behind Day 1 of our inthemix Christmas Advent Calendar was an exclusive house party with our reigning #1 Tydi, brought to you by our friends at Smirnoff and Global Soundsystem. Not surprisingly there was a lot of interest in the opportunity, with many ITMers more than a little excited by the thought of having Tydi over to their house to play an exclusive set for them and their closest friends. And all just in time for Christmas… could it get any better?!

The house party will take place this Sunday December 20th, so we closed the comp and got to work judging the entries yesterday. We’re now happy to announce that the winning fan is Mariah of Sydney, and when we got in contact with her she was quite taken aback by the news. “I was so nervous when I read the email from inthemix yesterday, as I didn’t get a chance to look at it until late in the day,” she explained. “As soon as I read it I thought, ‘Oh crap! I’m too late, they’ve probably found someone else!’ Thankfully, I got an awesome wakeup call this morning telling me I’d won the Tydi house party comp!”

Mariah is now hard at work inviting her nearest and dearest for the pre-Christmas soiree, but as luck would have it one of her closest friends will have to miss out on the fun. “My poor flatmate, she’s going to be so jealous when she finds out, she’s not back from the UK yet and loves Tydi.” Ouch! She’ll be able to check the photos from the party on inthemix next week to see what she missed, and of course we’re sure Mariah will be able to fill her in on everything that went down. “I can’t believe I won. This is definitely the best Christmas present ever and I cannot wait until this weekend to party with Tydi!”
