Over the weekend two wildly different festivals took place in Sydney and on the Gold Coast, yet both had a dedicated crowd of faithful music fans ready to party in the summer sunshine. inthemix photographers were on hand at both events, and you can now see the best of their handiwork in our Snap! featured galleries.

The spectacle and combined might of Summadayze and Field Day took over the Sunshine State on Saturday as Summafieldayze descended on the Gold Coast. Boasting a lineup of seriously huge dance music names, it was the end of the line for many of the touring artists, having partied across the New Year period. They sure went out with a bang!

Not to be outdone, for the fans of hip hop, funk, dubstep, electronica, drum & bass and indie there was Days Like This in Sydney on Sunday. Transforing the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park into a beat-fanatic paradise, the day featured highlight sets from Theo Parrish, Joker, Roots Manuva and headliners Method Man & Redman.
