If you’re an Above & Beyond fan and you’re looking forward to their return with Future Music Festival this year, then now you’ve got even more reason to be excited. In an interview with ITM last night, the trio’s Paavo Siljamaki revealed the trance legends will be hosting their own arena when the tour kicks off in late February. They’ll have a hand in the production and design of the stage, and not only that, but they’ll be also bringing along some of the acclaimed Anjunabeats crew in the form of Super8 & Tab, Matt Zo, as well as Australia’s own Jaytech. How’s that for huge?

“We actually haven’t done an Above & Beyond stage at a festival before, we’ve only done individual parties,” Paavo told ITM. “But that’s something that I’m really excited about at the moment, because it really gives us the full possibility of ensuring the music from start to finish is going to be fantastic. We’ve got guys that we’re really proud will be touring with us, and that’ll be the thing on the tour for us – it’s the Anjuna family coming to Australia.”

Paavo says that at the moment it’s looking like Above & Beyond will playing the closing three hours at the stage, but when questioned as to whether we’d be seeing them perform solo at any sideshows, he was a little more tightlipped. “Funnily enough, just yesterday I was asking the same question myself and as we speak, nothing is confirmed,” Paavo told ITM. However, he still offered us a glimmer of hope. “Hopefully yes, is my answer.”
