The Likes of You has brought some stunning names in techno, progressive and house to Melbourne punters over the past three years, and it’s been one of the city’s most credible sources of underground dance, but in 2010 it’ll be going national – supported by inthemix the whole way! We’ll be partnering with The Likes of You crew this year as they take it right around the country, and we’ll be presenting all of their events in 2010 in an exciting new partnership. The first adventure will be over the East Long Weekend featuring a massive cast of names that includes Oliver Huntemann, Phil Kieran, Daniel Steinberg, Oliver Koletzki and Seth Troxler playing at various dates along the way.

Heading up the bill at all four national dates will be militant techno heavy Oliver Huntemann, a mainstay since the early 90s and ever consistent on the production front, collaborating famously with Stephan Bodzin under the H-Man alias and recently working with Dubfire, as well as booting up his Ideal Audio record label.

Another big name who’ll be playing at two of the dates will be Phil Kieran, the Belfast based DJ/producer who’s been in the game for more than a decade, working with Sven Vath’s seminal Cocoon label in recent times and soon to release his hyped Shh album on that stable. Joined by several other quality names in underground music on the tour, they’ll be in plenty of good company.

The brainchild of Future Entertainment, the parties already have a strong foothold in the Melbourne scene after hosting marquee names like Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, Nathan Fake and literally dozens more over the past three years. However, this year it’ll be time for Melbourne to share all that excellent music with the rest of the country.
