At the moment he’s kicking back on a beach in Thailand, spending time with his wife and kids and reflecting on his recent movements as the New Year begins. But that’s soon about to change – in a mere couple of weeks, he’ll be back in Australia for Future Music Festival and as he tells ITM, he’s all revved up and ready to rumble.
“I’m in top shape I want to say, and I want to have a great party again all over Australia,” Sven told ITM last week, confirming that he’s all rested up and ready for the tour. “I can’t wait to see all my fans, and I’m all prepared. I’ve got my records packed, and I’m ready for the next one.”
When Sven Vath returned to Australia for Future Music Festival in 2008 for the first time in five years, he was welcomed back with open arms. Simply one of the most talked about dance artists to ever tour the country, he was up to his usual party-boy antics and loved all the more for it.
“I have to say I had a really, really, really fantastic time, it was amazing,” Sven says of his last tour. “Especially after five years of not playing in Australia, I thought people might not be sure what to expect form me, but I think they were quite open-minded. And they partied with me!” How could we forget, Sven.
“The rest of the tour was amazing too; the little sideshows I did here and there, I met some crazy people and we even had some private parties in people’s houses,” he says, referring to the infamous occasion when he kicked on after the Brisbane leg of Future Music Festival to a private performance at one lucky punter’s house. Epic!
