It’s that time again when Perth institution Ambar celebrates its birthday! A life time ago in 2001 Ambar opened it’s doors to modest beginnings and nine amazing years have passed, quite the milestone for a nightclub in Perth, a city with a notoriously short lifespan for many clubs. Perth has time and time again voted Ambar as the best in town, illustrated by it winning ‘Best Nightclub’ in the Perth Dance Music Awards since 2003. What would a birthday be without a birthday party and the Boomtickers have invited pommy powerhouses Splitloop to cut the cake.

Splitloop are Phil and Bren all the way from the UK and will be represented by Bren bringing in the massive DJ sets that the Ambar crew know and love. Their 2008 album Pleasure Machine was ‘Album of the Month’ in DJ Mag and was a deviation from their usual style, thus creating an album with a ‘velvety sheen’ touching on modern sexy D. Ramirez -type electro-house, juddery Justice riddims, old skool electro, bleepy Trickyesque bizness, speak ‘n’ spell robotica and a hell of a lot more. There’s a consistency to their sound that glazes the whole album – sexy electronic dance music that’ll be rocking floor from Brighton to Beijing. Accumulating all the tools to soundtrack a fantastic night out, the Splitloop boys have set the dials for pleasure.

This year again the Ambar Loyalty Cards will be available for purchase between 10pm and midnight on the night. The Ambar Loyalty Card allows you to skip the line, get discounted entry on Saturday nights and some events as well other discounts in the club.
