Another double bill of big names are set to kick start the year at Villa Nightclub! The irrepressible Deekline is back in Perth, burgers aside but with a promise of booty shaking beats! Deekline, from the Against the Grain label; DJ, producer, mega hot remixer and founder of Rat Records, Hardcore Beats, Cut & Run, Hot Cakes, Booty Breaks and Sludge, has come a long way since his smash hit Don’t Smoke The Reefer back in 1998. Deekline’s collaboration with partner Wizard, has led to the duo being recognised more prominently as one of breakbeat’s most uber-production partnerships. Their latest offering in the album department Back Off has earned rave reviews, the single Angels has been remixed by MJ Cole and NAPT whilst the single Back Off has been playlisted on Annie Nightingale’s Radio 1 show.

Ctrl Z haven’t had a chance to play in the elevated DJ booth of Villa yet but definitely a duo worth seeing! Ctrl Z are a nu-school breaks production duo from London. Busting out on the scene in 2005, they became known for their unique brand of breakbeat infused electro punk. Their first two productions went straight to number 1 in the Mixmag Chart and straight into the record bags of the breakbeat elite, and thus the dancefloor bomb paved the way for the duo. They’ve received support from some of the biggest players in the scene such as The Freestylers, Freq Nasty, Tayo, Aquasky, Deekline, Breakfastaz and Skool of Thought. Headlining events all over the world, their DJ sets have to be seen to be believed. Ctrl Z were the first Breaks act to be signed exclusively to the renowned Echo Location Agency where they were given the honor of supporting Pendulum on their first ever live tour.

They’ll be ably supported by Dead Easy, Marty McFly and BobNoceros on the local front.

Deekline and Ctrl Z are set to rock Villa on Friday 19th February.
