Following the double-blow of yesterday’s shock announcements that The Killers would miss the first weekend of shows for Good Vibrations in Sydney and Perth, and that Friendly Fires would no longer be performing a live set on the full tour – replaced by representatives from the band in DJ mode instead – festival organisers Jam Music have now issued an update to punters.

If you have tickets for the Sydney or Perth festival events and you’re no longer wishing to attend as a result of the cancellation Jam have come to the party by offering a full refund. Anyone wishing to request a refund must lodge their details before 5pm AEDST today, Friday February 12th. If you miss this cutoff time you’ll “be deemed to have accepted the cancellation.”

To arrange a refund you need to email thekillers@jammusic.com.au with your ticket purchase details and a representative from Jam will get back to you ASAP. Updated set times for this weekend’s shows will be released on the day of the event, so for those heading along be sure to keep an eye out for them when you arrive.

That%u2019s pretty decent of them considering Fuzzy didn%u2019t offer any kind of refund/compensation when Prydz and Sanchez pulled out of Field Dayze in %u201809 stating that %u2018line-up is subject to change without notice%u2019

it would be nice to get the new time table before the cut off for refunds. What if they take the two other bands you were keen on and clash them, that could be worth a refund to a lot of people

good point cstead. it may end up being worse cause of reshuffles. i would suggest taking the refund now before the cut off and then buy the tix at the door tomorrow once you know (if they announce changes before hand)

Hmm - a friend just suggested that they could be assessing the number of people wanting refunds before deciding whether to grant them or not. Guess I'll just have to wait & see...

It's simple: Killers would have cost c.$250,000 for the show. Tickets are c.$130 each. They save some money on not having to transport Friendly Fires' band equipment. So if less than c.2,000 people want a refund, business sense would imply that they shou
