With the enforced midnight shutdown in place for Sunday April 25 due to Anzac Day, a few local clubbing establishments have been denied licensing permits to allow for special daytime events. Hernan Cattaneo’s scheduled performance at Family Nightclub, as a result, is collateral damage as a result of farcical licensing bureaucracy.
That being said, Brisbane is determined to provide Hernan Cattaneo more fodder for “Gig Of The Year”, and Ulterior Motive have stepped up to present the world renowned Argentinian DJ for their of Ulterior Sunset Series Boat Party. The Brisbane Star will be launching on Saturday April 24, setting sail across the Brisbane River from 1-5pm.
Limited passes for some ticket holders will then allow Ulterior guests to be transferred from The Star to The Valley for Lemon & Lime’s Day Festival Liberate, where Eddie Halliwell, Matt Harwick, Solarstone and Sean Tyas will be rocking Planet Nightclub and The Church.
Such community spirit is overwhelming in light of the fallout, but it seems Brisbane is determined to party no matter the obstacles. Anzac Weekend is looking the goods. Whatever you do – don’t miss out!
There are two ticket options: $45 for boat-only and $70 for boat + entry to Liberate. Tickets are on sale now.
