The 2010 Future Music Festival juggernaut fired into life yesterday, with thousands of revellers descending on Brisbane’s Doomben Racecourse. Despite the gloomy forecast for the Sunshine State, the party mood refused to be dampened.
This year’s mammoth line-up compensated for the wet and wild conditions with scorching performances. Festival evergreens The Prodigy showed they haven’t lost the fire on the mainstage, while over at the Likes Of You tent Booka Shade’s new-and-improved live show provided a heady finish.
After triumphing in the rain at Melbourne’s Global Gathering in 2008, Above & Beyond were unfazed by the Brisbane downpour, delivering an ecstatic headline set on their own Anjunabeats stage. Other highlights came from enduring UK duo Way Out West and master-of-the-build John Digweed, who both jumped on a plane after the event to play a ‘One Night Only’ show.

Above & Beyond posted this ‘thank you’ video for the fans who endured the rain to see them bring it home on the Anjunabeats stage.
