UPDATE: As we well know, Sven Väth arrived in Australia for Future Music Festival with
every intention of partying hard. Last night in Perth, he accomplished his mission. After smashing sets at the first two stops of the festival, the Cocoon boss joined a host of the festival’s headliners for an impromptu session at one very fortunate house party.

In a Twitter update this morning, Above & Beyond wrote: “an amazing party here in Perth [at Future Music Festival], followed by a crazy house party with @svenvaeth who truly made it an unforgettable night!”

ITM got in contact with James Francis – the man lucky enough to hand his home over to such a momentous event – and our jealousy has deepened even more. “We had Sven Vath, John Digweed, Dubfire, Booka Shade and Above & Beyond all partying in our garden with about 70 or so other people,” James told us. “It was truly amazing. Sven played for about six-and-a-half hours, and all the other internationals just watched and danced in awe with the rest of us! Sven played ‘one more tune’ about 20 times.”

James also added that when he finally put Vath in a cab to his hotel, the party Trojan had these parting words: “Life’s too short, enjoy this moment and remember it forever, as I will.”

The photos from the Brisbane leg of Future Music Festival are here. Check back soon for Perth. For all your FMF needs, stay tuned to ITM’s festival page.
