After a damp but rollicking start in Brisbane, Future Music Festival took the long haul to Perth on Sunday for another round. While the backyard after-party with Sven Vath commanding the decks all night long is now the stuff of local legend, the festival itself saw storming performances from the likes of The Prodigy, Booka Shade and Above & Beyond.

In contrast to the Brisbane mud-fest, the weather was typically scorching at Perth’s Ascot Racecourse. The Likes Of You tent was once again a highlight (it obviously left its headliners in good spirits too, given their late-night suburban shenanigans), with John Digweed again proving he’s as formidable in a festival setting as in a club.
