We’re only seven weeks out from the unveiling of Creamfields Australia, and organisers still have a few cards left up their sleeve. The travelling roadshow will visit Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne over one exhausting week in May, and the bill of talent just got a bit bigger.
Queensland export tyDi will take his well-earned place on a top-shelf trance line-up, and we’re likely to hear some productions from his upcoming artist album. As the man recently told ITM, his current DJ sound is sitting “somewhere in the middle of prog-house and trance”. Another burgeoning star of the Armada label, Ashley Wallbridge, is also new to the line-up. His 2009 track alongside Andy Moor Faces found its way into several influential DJ wallets, and he’s already turned in a remix for Creamfields headliner Ferry Corsten.
Techno fans will no doubt be thrilled at the addition of Dutch powerhouse Steve Rachmad, who has championed his own brand of Detroit drums on an array of labels. He’ll be in good company at Creamfields, with Dave Clarke, Green Velvet and Joris Voorn also bringing the techy business. Sydney punters also get the added bonus of Sean Tyas and Christopher Lawrence, making this quite the day out for a trance-lover.
Creamfields has added the following names to the 2010 line-up. Tickets are selling fast, so don’t dawdle.
tyDi (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne)
Ashley Wallbridge (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne)
Sean Tyas (Sydney)
Christopher Lawrence (Sydney)
Steve Rachmad (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane)
