Where others see a slow news day, ITM sees a goldmine of lols as this week has seen the grand unveiling of the nominees for CLEO’s annual “bachelor of the year” competition.

In the running for the prize of bachelor of this year is none other than Bang Gang head honcho Gus Da Hoodrat, or ‘DJ and record label owner’ Angus Gruzman as his bachelor profile trumpets. What a dreamboat!

Hoodrat’s inclusion in the list follows previous nods to dance music blokes as ideal suitors, with last year’s CLEO top 50 giving the nod to the likes of Grant Smillie and former Sneaky Sound System fop Daimon Downey.

Like everyone else in the universe, our heads are spinning with questions about Hoodrat’s nomination for the bachelor of the year title. Can he beat out the likes of John Farnham’s son and that douche from Short Stack to claim top honours? Will his nomination cause a rift between him and his equally dreamy Bang Gang buddies?
