Despite telling inthemix recently that “we don’t need to hide behind a monitor any more”, The Bloody Beetroots haven’t given up on the DJing game just yet. The Italian noisemakers will take the reins on one disc for the upcoming Ministry Of Sound compilation Destroy, with the second CD handled by our very own The Aston Shuffle.
While official details are scarce at the moment, the Shuffle boys dropped the news via a Facebook update. “We have just finished our disc and couldn’t be happier with the tracklisting,” they announced. “It features three brand new remixes of ours and the absolutely massive Harvard Bass remix of our new single I Wanna See You.”
What the Bloody Beetroots disc will feature, though, is anyone’s guess. In the aforementioned chat with ITM, masked leader Bob Rifo argued the advent of “pseudo-DJs” inspired the Death Crew 77 live show we’ll see at Creamfields in May. He also remarked, “I still enjoy DJing and maybe one day I’ll go back to it.”
So does that make the Destroy comp the Beetroots’ almighty send-off to DJing? ITM will keep you updated!
