When it was announced that UK rave legends Orbital would be returning to Australia in February for the first time since the early ‘90s, fans couldn’t believe their luck. The duo brought Playground Weekender to an ecstatic close under the stars, and also found time for some very special sideshows.

Orbital’s Sydney stop (on the Tuesday after Playground, which didn’t deter the diehards) saw The Forum shake to all the evergreen classics: Halcyon + On + On, Chime, Satan and One Perfect Sunrise to name but a few. Now, thanks to Orbital and BBC Radio, the landmark tour isn’t going to fade from memory.

As part of their 6 Mix residency on BBC Radio, Orbital is sharing an hour-long recording of The Forum set. It comes in the second half of the current programme, following an hour of tracks that influenced the Hartnoll brothers. Not a bad way to combat the Monday blues!

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!

their set at Playground was sensational. I had a ball at the Forum as well, but there was something especially magic about seeing them play outdoors

old ravers don't die, they just become less relevant, then more relevant, then less relevant, then more relevant
