After a stunning week of shows, Bristol’s brooding heroes Massive Attack made their final stop at Brisbane’s Riverstage last night. Coming seven years after the group’s last visit to promote 100th Window, this tour saw most of the dates happening in the open air, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
Complimenting the special settings – from the Sydney Opera House forecourt to the picturesque Kings Park in Perth – Massive Attack delivered on their promise of a “spectacular” live show. With thought-provoking visuals expertly incorporated into the performances, audiences were left wowed by the musicians 3D and Daddy G had rallied for this tour. In addition to a well-oiled band, vocal guests Horace Andy, Deborah Miller and Martina Topley-Bird were a fan’s dream.
inthemix was there as the Massive Attack tour weaved its way around the country, so remember the good times with our review and photo coverage below. Here’s hoping we’re not left waiting another seven years for a return.
