More artists cancel in volcano fallout

Two of the international drawcards for this Anzac long weekend – Marc Marzenit and Redshape – have been thwarted by the shutdown of airports across Europe. With the cloud of volcanic ash from Iceland still causing havoc, both acts took to their social networking channels to deliver the bad news. “My flights were cancelled due to volcanic ash in the air over parts of Europe,” Marzenit posted on Twitter. Redshape had the same predicament, announcing that all prospective flights in coming days are fully booked.

inthemix has just been informed that Marzenit will be replaced at the musica event in Sydney and Brown Alley in Melbourne by Irish production gun Chymera. Like Marzenit, Chymera is a star of Sven Vath’s Cocoon stable, but his distinctive techno releases have also been housed on Ovum, Delsin and other heavyweight labels.

Stay tuned to inthemix for further updates on how this weekend’s planned events will proceed.
