When trance titan Tiesto announced he was handing over the reins to his In Search Of Sunrise mix-CD series, it was clear his successor wouldn’t be chosen lightly. Earlier this month, the DJ at the helm of In Search of Sunrise 8: South Africa was revealed as Dutchman Richard Durand, ensuring the series is in safe hands.

While inthemix is still awaiting official tour dates, we can reveal that Durand is bringing the sound of Sunrise to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in September. The shows are set to feature extended ISOS sets from the headliner, plus two additional international guests and our own Trent McDermott (who is also on board for today’s other big trance announcement). Championed by Tiesto for several years now, Durand is now greatly in-demand around the world. Having blitzed Trance Energy in Holland earlier this month, this looks to be the man’s watershed year.
