Having eluded us for over 15 years, UK mind-melters Autechre will at last come to Australia in May. The Manchester duo is set to roll through Perth, Sydney and Melbourne over one heavy weekend, and the faint of heart need not apply.
Autechre has been prolific since the early ‘90s, releasing its tenth full-length album Oversteps in 2010. The veterans of Warp Records have pushed the sonic boundaries further with each release, revelling in the atmospheric and experimental end of electronica. Having witnessed the Autechre live show at Melt Festival in Germany recently, inthemix can confirm that it’s every bit the blinding assault on the senses you would hope for.
