Following on from news that Goldfrapp will be making time for a bit on the side and with the festival well and truly sold out, there’s now more Splendour In The Grass sideshow goodness to add to the diary.

Having eluded Australia for quite a while, Oxford five-piece Foals will make up for lost time at back-to-back shows in Melbourne and Sydney. The group has a new album Total Life Forever due very soon, so expect them to be in fine form.

After selling out their Big Day Out sideshows with no trouble, Passion Pit will do it all again in August. Led by the wistfully romantic falsetto of Michael Angelakos, the dancefloor-friendly troupe will have the kids singing along to The Cranberries classic Dreams and favourites from the debut album Manners.

Some other sideshows that might please the electronically-inclined include Sigur Ros frontman Jonsi in his solo guise and indie-pop favourites Two Door Cinema Club.

Yep, tough decisions have to be made, and I'll be favouring TDCC on the 2nd of August. Now to wait anxiously for the Drums and Broken Social Scene.
