In its 18th year, the WAMi Festival returns to dazzle Perth with five days of gigs and special events, featuring original Western Australian music!
The WAMi Festival presents over 100 acts over 5 days at venues across the Perth metropolitan area. Annual favourites such as the WAMi Awards and City of Perth Northbridge Saturday Spectacular sit alongside new events such as the TOO SOLID showcases. Special events such as the WAMi Music Business Conference, Kiss My Camera exhibition and the WAMi Festival LOUDER Regional tour has ensured that the WAMi Festival reaches far and wide across the state. The program covers all areas of contemporary music from blues to metal and folk to electronic.
The WAMI Festival has become an essential part of the Western Australian cultural landscape and is supported by the local and national music industry, media and broader community. Western Australian artists, acts and music industry have a range of opportunities for exposure which enables the diversity and quality of WA music to be put on show making new fans locally and beyond WA.
The ever popular WAMi Awards Night will be held at Capitol Thursday 20 May with tickets on sale now. Hosted by Triple J journeyman The Doctor and RTR FM’s Peter Barr, the night is always one to be remembered and a great opportunity to see who takes home the WAMingtons.
