If you thought cover bands were strictly the domain of suburban RSLs, then you’d be wrong. With drum & bass heavyweights Pendulum currently busy filling the likes of Wembley Arena in the UK, an alternative has appeared straight outta South Australia.
Pretendulum (best name ever) is promising a ‘Pendulum tribute set’ at HQ in Adelaide on Friday 23 July, and we’re officially intrigued. The Pretendulum players are Weez, MPK and Patch, who’ll presumably don some black t-shirts and scowls to replicate their heroes onstage. We’re secretly hoping this sets a trend for other dance music cover acts – I Can’t Believe It’s Not Eric Prydz or Fake-less, perhaps?
What other dance music superstars would you like to see immortalised as cover bands?
