We were flooded with entries in our recent Fedde Le Grand remix competition, so it’s taken us a little longer than anticipated to get through them all and pick the winners. First things first, congratulations to 200 producers who entered. The quality and quantity of submissions was well above average, and impressed Ministry of Sound’s A&R manager Aden Mullens who handled the judging. “The standard was quite high in general,” he explained. “What I was most excited about was the level of originality and creativity.”
We’ve now whittled it down to the top five finalists, and you can check them out right now on inthemix’s SoundCloud page (be sure to join up as a follower of us while you’re at it!) Top honours goes to Mr Something, while second and third Audiophreakz and Dave Winnel respectively. They’ll walk away with a swag of sweet prizes courtesy of Akai Professional, Store DJ and Ministry of Sound. For good measure we also thought we’d let you know who came in at fourth and fifth place – big ups to Martin Holley and Ben Royal!
