This is the big one, ladies and gentlemen. Following on from his positively epic ‘Kaleidoscope’ tour of Australia earlier in 2010 – selling out arenas and leaving thousands of fans in awe along the way – the one and only Tiesto is coming back to Australia, bringing his mammoth show to the mainstage for this year’s Stereosonic festival!

Are you as surprised as we are? We wouldn’t blame you, after all Tiesto hasn’t been seen at an Australian festival since the summer of ‘03/’04. In the time since then the mighty Dutchman has been the star at dance music’s biggest international events, including Creamfields, Ultra Music Festival, Global Gathering and Mystery Land. In Australia he’s completed two sold-out headline tours, experiencing waves of adulation from punters all across the country.

“I’m extremely excited for Stereosonic, I had a great time there back in January and look forward to the energy that the country brings! It should be a great time,” Tiesto told inthemix in our exclusive interview with the big man of dance. “I’ll be playing a lot of new stuff I’ve been working on and as far as the production goes… you’ll just have to wait and see!”

Already the organisers behind the Stereosonic, Hardware and Onelove, have declared that this year’s tour would be ‘bigger’ than ever before, and snagging a dance giant like Tiesto proves they’re hell-bent on delivering that promise. It gets even better for festival goers with organisers insisting that, while Tiesto is headlining, there’s still a staggering list of heavyweight artists representing a diverse range of genres to be announced.
