After more than 10 years at the helm of triple j’s pair of dance music programs – Friday night’s The Club and Mix-Up on Saturday night – trusted voice Nicole Foote stepped away from the mic back in March, leaving the national youth broadcaster in need of some fresh talent to represent dance music on the airwaves.

After a reportedly massive wave of submissions for the dance roles, triple j has this week revealed its new presenters to guide listeners’ weekend adventures, naming Nina Las Vegas and Deacon Rose as the new blood.

As announced by triple j in a press release this week, the network’s dance programs will be getting a facelift to go along with the new presenters, with The Club morphing into Mix Up whilst the Saturday night Mix Up becomes the Mix Up Exclusives, playing freshly made content only.

Friday nights will be hosted by triple j newcomer Deacon Rose, who’s moving up from regular Shake & Bake slots at Melbourne’s PBS, while Nina Las Vegas will kick on from her Saturday night House Party duties to host Mix Up Exclusives. Nina’s also a regular in the ITM forums so shout out to her with all your ideas and mix requests and you might hear ‘em on the radio one late night.
