Sydney’s best-located festival Harbourlife is expanding its scope this year – in more ways than one. The festival’s creators Fuzzy have posted some teaser details on its website, including plans for Harbourlife Gold Coast! While no details have yet been revealed for the Gold Coast venue, it’s fair to say it’ll follow the picturesque mould of its Harbour City counterpart.
Equally intriguing is the news that both legs will feature Melbourne sensations The Temper Trap ‘and friends’. The four-piece has rocketed to international success recently thanks to its slick and sweeping debut album Conditions, but for many seasoned Harbourlife devotees the booking may come as a surprise. It remains to be seen whether The Temper Trap’s ‘friends’ will bring the house and electro the event is renowned for, but this could be another notch in the belt for the band’s musical domination coming on the heels of the announcement that they’d be co-headlining Canberra’s summer dance festival Foreshore with Tiesto.
