The roll-call of international acts paying us a visit this summer just keeps on growing, with Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings due to land here in early December. The troupe has been announced on the line-up for Festival Of The Sun in Port Macquarie, NSW, with nationwide dates sure to follow soon.

Australia has been given plenty of chances to fall in love with Ms Jones, who has led her Dap Kings down this way several times. The most recent jaunt was over the 2008/2009 summer, which saw rousing performances at the likes of Days Like This! and Falls Festival. Jones remains a consummate frontwoman and she’s sure to be in strutting, crowd-pleasing form again this year.
